APCON 2022, Bengaluru, India: There has been a sharp decline in the number of clinical or medical autopsies and it is often lamented that there is dearth of autopsy material for the post-graduates in pathology. A session “Medico-legal Tissues: A Treasure Trove of Cardiovascular Pathology” is planned to showcase the wealth of information accrued from medico-legal or forensic autopsies and is scheduled on 2nd December 2022 from 2.00 pm to 3.30 pm. This session is based on the findings of cardiac tissue samples from pure medico-legal post-mortems sent for histo-pathological examination to the Pathology department. Slides from 8 cases of sudden cardiac death have been digitized and have been made available at:

With this we also aim to develop mutual cooperation between both departments, who perform or can perform autopsies, respectively.
